Portfolio & Achievement: Bird Problem Handling

Recently we have provided bird control service at a site that is a loading dock in a factory, which was having endless issue with messy bird droppings in the area. Thailand is full of various types of pest problem and bird is among the main concerns in city areas. In these areas, there is a lot of food source including garbage, and less predators to scare them off. Once a small flock inhabits a certain area, it becomes a bigger flock and problem in no time. And so, it is crucial to tackle the problem early on.

One way to get rid of the birds is by eradicating them, but in Thailand (a Buddhist country) killing any animal is generally avoided. Therefore, there are other preferred options which are ①Bird Proof Net and ②Bird Repellent Gel. And for this particular job case, the latter was selected for bird expelling and prevention.

การควบคุมนกเป็นอีกหนึ่งในการให้บริการของเรา ซึ่งเป็นการป้องกันความเสียหายและการปนเปื้อนจากมูลนกในพื้นที่ โดยเฉพาะบริเวณพื้นที่ขนถ่ายสินค้าในโรงงานอุสาหกรรม ในประเทศไทยมักพบปัญหาจากสัตว์รบกวนที่ค่อนข้างหลากหลาย โดยนกเป็นหนึ่งในปัญหาที่หลีกเลี่ยงได้ยาก โดยเฉพาะในเขตพื้นที่เมือง ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีแหล่งอาหารค่อนข้างมาก แต่มีผู้ล่าค่อนข้างน้อย การควบคุมประชากรของนกรบกวนในเมืองจึงเป็นไปได้ยาก เมื่อมีนกฝูงเล็กๆ เข้ามาอาศัยในบริเวณพื้นที่หนึ่ง หากปล่อยทิ้งไว้นกเหล่านี้จะสามารถเพิ่มจำนวนประชากรขึ้น และเกิดเป็นปัญหาสะสมในระยะยาว ดังนั้นจึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่จะต้องแก้ไขปัญหาตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆ

หนึ่งในวิธีการป้องกันนกคือการกำจัด แต่เนื่องจากประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศที่ประชากรส่วนใหญ่นับถือศาสนาพุทธ จึงมักหลีกเลี่ยงการฆ่าสัตว์ อย่างไรก็ตาม ยังมีทางเลือกอื่นๆในการจัดการ ได้แก่ ①การติดตั้งตาข่ายดักนก ②การวางเจลไล่นก โดยวิธีนี้มักได้รับการเลือกเพื่อใช้ในการป้องกันและขับไล่นกมากกว่า

One of the main factors that differentiate Bird Gel from Bird Net is aesthetics; when installed in higher spots, Bird Gel appears hidden whereas Bird Net may still be somewhat visible, hence obstructing the view.
